I'm not sure what's going on - I recently discovered La Marqueta and have been shopping there because it is very close to my apt. They have reasonable prices and seem to have everything I need. :) However, I just noticed on my bank statement that the transaction notes "Key Foods" - Is La Marqueta owned by Key Foods?

Food is NOT as good as Port Chester... I've been to PC about 10 times, and consider myself a vet.

I ordered take out lunch from Stamford, waited the requisite 30 minutes, then walked over. Waited another 30 minutes, and every single item (6 total) had something glaringly wrong with it.

Corn uncooked. Meat raw. Curiously, random fish heads in my cheese quesadilla.

Filed complaints with the day manager who laughingly shrugged me off and continued texting on his blackberry.

Will not be returning.

Franklin St Works (the new gallery that just opened up) has a cafe in it, though they're not open Mon-Wed if my memory serves me. Not on Bedford, but just a couple of blocks away! Haven't tried their coffee, but they've got organic tea and tasty snacks.
